Founder of Caspian Holistics est. 2019
Aleksander Casas earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with minors in Women’s and Gender Studies and history. He later completed a master’s degree in psychology, specializing in identity.
His career at Howard Brown Health in Chicago began before he graduated, when he worked in social services as a transgender health navigator. During graduate school, he joined HBH’s counseling team as a psychology intern. After earning his degree, he worked in the clinic alongside medical providers as a behavioral health clinician before transitioning to a clinical psychotherapist role on the mental health team.
Aleksander has pursued additional training in complex trauma. He has also traveled to Peru and Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, where he immersed himself in local communities and learned from Indigenous elders.
"I assist in helping clients transform themselves by looking inward and discovering parts of themselves that have been silenced or hidden. Internal world transformation starts with taking the deep dive into the self. Looking at and confronting ourselves. Often times, we need to understand why we think the way we think, why we feel what we feel, and why we act how we act. By deepening into a better understanding of ourselves from a holistic perspective, we can begin to understand the relationship between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors." -Aleksander
